Captain Roberts admires the intricate beauty of the patterns of all marine life. Eels and endemic Hawaiian fish are what inspired this collection.  Often when photographing the animals she thinks,  "you'd make a lovely handbag".  Of course we don't want to turn the actual animal into products! We are passionate about marine conservation at Dread Pirate Enterprises.  What you find here are designs created from the photography of the animals the Captain admires most.  Many times she uses macro photography to capture all the details of the intricate patterns on the marine life.  We use providers that create vegan leather handbags.  Vegan leather holds up in Hawaii's humid climate better than actual animal hide but humid environments still require the cleaning and protecting of vegan leather to ensure the product lasts.
